The Crown of Europe

This is PostcardFromSomewhere, the latest collection of travel letters from Hallistoteles, taking you on a journey to the beautiful and mythical peaks of Europe (mostly referred to as Picos here), as he attempts to complete one of the toughest challenges known to man (at least himself, or rather the challenges he's willing to consider). He is me, the writer of all content appearing on this interweb site.

So what is this really? It's my attempt at keeping my friends (mum) up to date on this wee journey I'm on. What journey is that? A spiritual one. Some might say. The spirit of the mountains. The European ones at least. Well, only the ones able to say they are the tallest within the borders of their country. It's my attempt at completing the Crown of Europe (climbing the tallest peak of every European country).

This is the belated documentation of said challenge that somewhat unknowingly started back in 2022, however, it's far from finished. Check out the what and the why ici, if you're keen to know more. So far 13 picos have been conquered meaning that there's still plenty of action to come!

Climbing season is over, so it's a good while until the next climb. Can you guess where? Well, don't despair, over the next 26 weeks, there will be Bi-Weekly posts of the climbs that's already been. How exciting. Or not. Not really, but follow along still.
